Vidmar model numbers name the housing height. Model 175 is the bench-height housing at 33″, the workbench height: at 33 inches it is the housing that pairs with Vidmar benching, so it carries a worksurface as a bench with drawers in its own right, or stands beside a bench at the same working height. Every cabinet on this page shares that housing; what changes is the width (22½″, 30″, 45″, 60″), the drawer count, and the compartment layout, which come from the configuration number: the letters in front (RP, SCU, SEP) are Vidmar's preconfigured catalog series prefixes, and the digits after them name the specific drawer layout.
Workbenches with drawers built in, seated and standing bench work, lab and electronics benches, and vehicle bays that want a bench-height cabinet with a top as a mobile-free work station. If you need a different height, the other families are Eye-Level (Model 340, 59″), Counter-Height (Model 245, 44″), Stand-Up (Model 200, 37″). Not sure which? Every drawer is full extension and rated for 400 lb, the number aerospace MRO, defense depots, and automotive plants come to Vidmar for. Drawer dividers and partitions build an X-Y grid inside each drawer; the drawer count on the card is the factory layout, and the compartment count is what that layout gives you before you move a divider. Keying is chosen on the product page: random group, keyed alike (the Quick Ship default), or master keyed with individual keys plus one master. All eight standard powder coat colors are no upcharge; Quick Ship stocks Dark Blue and Vidmar Gray, everything else is made to order in 2 to 3 weeks at the Allentown, Pennsylvania plant. Lost keys later are a replacement lock cylinder, ten minutes with no locksmith.

The standard housing is 30 inches wide and 27¾ inches deep. Extra-wide 45 inch and double-wide 60 inch housings carry the same drawers with more cubic inches per cabinet, a narrow 22½ inch housing fits tight aisles, and a 21⅜ inch shallow-depth series exists for tight rooms. Heights are Model 175 (33″), Model 200 (37″), Model 245 (44″), and Model 340 (59″).
Yes. Every cabinet ships in eight standard powder coat colors at no upcharge, and keying is chosen at order time: random group, keyed alike, or master keyed. Send us a photo of an existing key and the color, and we key and finish the new cabinet to match. Lost keys later are a replacement lock cylinder, not a new cabinet.
